Charles Bowden
Charles Bowden was nominated for a Pulitzer and is the recipient of a Lannan Literary Award for Nonfiction, the Sidney Hillman Prize, United States Artists Fellowship, and is a PEN First Amendment Award Honoree. He is the critically acclaimed author of 23 books, including Murder City, Down by the River, A Shadow in the City, Blood Orchid, and co-editor of El Sicario. Bowden is a contributing editor of GQ and Mother Jones magazine, and writes for other magazines, including Harper’s Magazine and Aperture. He lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
