Lillian Jackson Braun (1913-2011) was an American author whose 1966 novel, The Cat Who Could Read Backwards, was the first in a series of mysteries featuring reporter Jim Qwilleran and his two Siamese cats, Koko and Yum Yum. Braun was twice nominated for an Edgar award.
Theodore Bikel (1924-2015) was an actor, folk singer, musician, and political activist who had a successful career on stage, on television, and in film. He received Tony award nominations for The Rope Dancers and The Sound of Music and an Oscar nomination for The Defiant Ones.
