William Goldman
William Goldman (1931-2018) was an American author and screenwriter whose film credits included A Bridge Too Far, Maverick, and Misery. He received two Academy Awards—for best original screenplay (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) and best adapted screenplay (All the President's Men). Goldman was also the author of several books of nonfiction and fiction including Adventures in the Screen Trade, Marathon Man, and The Princess Bride.
